RCE was founded in 2005 with a focus on the needs of document digitization.  We developed a SQL based client/server platform that was designed to be flexible to meet the needs of any vertical market.  The design of this platform allows our clients to access information quickly and securely by incorporating the latest in encryption and biometric technologies.  We also wanted to give our clients the ability to access this information remotely.  By incorporating our SQL platform we have allowed our clients to achieve new levels of efficiency and workforce productivity.    This SQL platform now drives a number of our hosted solutions that we provide to our clients today.

Since then, RCE has expanded to other areas of application and service development.

• Develop ODBC/SQL shadow routines

Most of RCE services and applications are designed to be portable across multiple industries.  This allows our current and future customers to benefit from any enhancement that may be implemented.

Reid Shumate - Founder & CEO

Reid has been involved with information technologies for over 18 years.  The following is a brief list of some of the projects and companies that he has been associated with.

• Worked in partnership with IBM in designing, implementing, and supporting the Kentucky Department of Social Sevices (TWIST - The Worker Information SysTem) 
• Designing and implementing supporting systems for the Tennessee Valley Authority
• Network and Information System Manager for Unisys, Inc. while developing and implementing Medicaid claim processing systems for Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Florida
• MIS Director for Mas-Hamilton Group, Inc. (A high security lock manufacturer for government and banking industries)
• Security Directory for iLOR, Inc.
• CEO of iLOR International where he developed and implemented logic based decision modeling software for heavy equipment and service body manufacturers  

Reid graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a BA in Aeronautical Science and holds a number of technology certifications. Reid currently serves on the Bell County Middlesboro Airport Board and the Bell County Industrial Foundation Board.
